The Program
SAIL is immersive leadership development for executives and high-potential leaders, delivered before, during, and after a 4–5 night Virgin Voyages sailing. It combines executive coaching, behavioral insight, 360 feedback, self-directed development, intentional space, and exceptional hospitality.
Executives, senior leaders, high-potential leaders, founders, business owners, emerging executives, and experienced leaders tired of conventional professional development. This is probably not your first leadership program.
Self-Care. Accountability. Influence. Learning.
SAILING is an advanced second-tier leadership pathway that builds upon SAIL — adding Introspection, Negotiation, and Growth. It feels like advanced leadership development, not simply a larger package.
Five phases: Discover, Assess, Coach, Sail, Integrate. Pre-voyage assessments and coaching, onboard development and optional experiences, and post-voyage integration coaching.
A typical SAIL voyage is 4–5 nights aboard Virgin Voyages, with coaching and assessments before and integration coaching after.
The Voyage
SAIL intentionally creates distance from normal organizational roles, schedules, and environments. The environment is part of the methodology — not a claim that a ship scientifically improves leadership.
No. SAIL Leadership™ is an independent leadership-development program. It is not owned, operated, endorsed, or officially affiliated with Virgin Voyages®.
Cruise fare and SAIL program pricing are detailed on each voyage page. [Pricing details to be confirmed per voyage.]
CrowsNest360, the Periscope Leadership Profile, four pre-voyage coaching sessions, two onboard coaching sessions, two post-voyage integration sessions, the SAIL app, and an individualized SAIL pathway.
Coaching + Assessments
Every standard SAIL experience includes four 25-minute pre-voyage sessions, two 30-minute onboard sessions, and two 25-minute post-voyage integration sessions.
CrowsNest360 helps you understand how others experience your leadership. The Periscope Leadership Profile helps you understand how you tend to operate. The interesting work begins where the two pictures don't match.
